Education

BRJD's Education Department is staffed by the City of Charlottesville school system.  We currently have teachers specializing in various areas of academia.  The program is under the direction of Principal Rachel Potter.  For additional information about BRJD's Education Department, click here.

Post Dispositional Program

In July 2004, BRJD began a new facility program for Juveniles with suspended commitments to the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice.  The program is referred to as a "Post Dispositional Program."  For additional information on BRJD's Post-D Program, click here.

Recreation

As part of BRJD's Pre and Post Dispositional operations, a structured recreational program is followed that encourages Residents to participate in activities that are fun, motivational and promote the "Team Concept."

Physical Education

Part of BRJD's daily program is physical training.  Each day Residents participate in a number of physical activities designed to develop physical health, endurance and positive mental well being.  This part of the program is conducted in a structured manner supervised by trained staff.

Religious Services

BRJD provides nondenominational religious services for residents upon request.

Planned Parenthood

BRJD provides our Residents with Planned Parenthood Education.
