BRJD Post Dispositional Program
BRJD's Post-Disposition Program
is an individualized treatment/educational program that is
structured for residents who have not been successful in
community-based programs or other types of residential programs.
The Post-Disposition Program has an educational component that
develops knowledge, life-skills, career options and vocational
abilities leading the resident to a more disciplined lifestyle. The
program is also dovetailed with treatment services available both in
the community and within the facility. The motivational
enhancements and intervention efforts facilitate re-entry of the
youth into the community.
The program is a dispositional
alternative for certain juvenile offenders who may benefit from
local short-term confinement and treatment while in a controlled
setting. Whenever possible, the youth will receive services within
his/her community.
This program targets youth
that appear to be amenable to treatment and to improving their
behavior and lifestyles. They may earn privileges to work,
participate in community service and volunteer assignments and leave
the facility for educational activities and home visits. These
services and privileges are intended to increase family and
community involvement, thus increasing the youth’s chances for a
successful transition back into he community.
